What does it mean to be a leader?

Everyone has a different opinion on what qualities a leader should have and how they should act.My opinion is that a leader must have motivation because if a leader does not show and believe that a plan will work everyone he/she is directing will feel discouraged about what they are doing.Leaders must be accountable and be where they say there going to be.Being understanding is another trait a leader should exemplify. They must be able to see all sides and take everything into consideration. Finally my biggest must for a leader is that they must a have a vision or grand plan that they and the people under them are working towards.I feel that it introduces a drive to the team/group where everyone wants to see the plan carried out to the best of their ability. These are some of the  qualities I think every leader should have.

What does it mean to be a Totem?

My first thoughts of ACSS were pretty negative.Everyone was telling me that it was a bad school and that I should go to a different one in the district. Before starting grade 9, I went to LSS for summer school and I found that I much preferred the ACSS building to the LSS one. After going to my first classes I found it was`not as bad as I was lead to believe.I saw the appeal of a smaller school. After joining rec leadership I saw how much better a smaller community where everyone knows each other is.To me being a Totem is to be part of a tight-knit community who are trying to help each other and work together to achieve their goals.
